Each leadership team member has been strategically chosen for his or her unique strengths. Their contributions to the company, its dynamic culture and employees are positioning us as a leader in the powersports industry.
Chris Carlson: President/CEO
Sportech started in 1994 as a home-based family business selling aftermarket snowmobile accessories. Today, the company is recognized as a leading supplier of OEM thermoformed plastic products to the powersports industry.
Chris and his wife Debbie have lived in Elk River since 1988. They have two children and participate as a family in snocross racing across the country as a part of the International Series of Champions (ISOC) National Snocross tour with their team, Carlson Motorsports. In addition to being a passionate motorsports enthusiast, Chris is also an avid outdoorsman.
Chris is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications. He serves on several advisory boards, including the West Metro Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) where he chairs the executive board. Chris frequently consults with other entrepreneurs and speaks to a variety of organizations about business development and values-based corporate cultures.

Jim Glomstad: General Manager
New to Sportech in 2010
Jim has 16 years of sales and marketing experience in roles of increasing responsibility in diverse markets. With a passion for strategy and new market development, Jim is responsible for developing and leading the Sportech sales and marketing team.
Jim is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
Jim and his family recently moved to Maple Grove, MN. With his wife and two children, Jim also spends a large amount of time at their family cabin in Otter Tail County, MN. Jim lives to find ways to involve his family in a number of their favorite outdoors activities including hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Dennis Mooney: Operations Manager
At Sportech since 2002
Dennis has 18 years of plastic manufacturing experience, which includes 14 years of part design and CNC programming and three years mold making experience.
As Operations Manger, Dennis oversees all areas of production including shipping and receiving, Lean implementation and facility management. He ensures the overall quality of Sportech products and maintains the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system requirements and objectives.
Dennis' personal interests include playing hockey, downhill skiing, mountain biking, fishing, and riding motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles. He also enjoys spending time at the lake with family and friends. His favorite sports are hockey, football and NASCAR.

Mario Negri: Director of Product Development
New to Sportech in 2012
As the Director of Engineering Mario brings nearly 20 years of experience developing and bringing products to market - the majority in the power-sports industry. Mario started his career as a member of the original development team that brought Victory Motorcycles to market, and has contributed in a variety of organizations since – from Fortune 100 and design organizations to a few entrepreneurial business ventures of his own. Mario oversees New Product Development, and collaborates with the team to bring innovative, attractive and quality solutions to each and every customer that we service.
Mario earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, with a non-major focus in studio arts, and received his MBA from London Business School.
Mario donated a kidney to his wife in 2008, and they are both living healthy lives together outside of Minneapolis, MN. Mario is active in raising money for the MS Society, enjoys travel, riding bikes and motorcycles and spending time with family and friends.

Caleb Hanson: Director of Sales
At Sportech since 2003
Caleb has 10 years of experience holding a variety of roles in increasing responsibility at Sportech. He is responsible for developing and leading the Sportech sales team. Caleb holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Minnesota School of Business.
Caleb and his wife make their home in Elk River, Minnesota. They enjoy spending time together riding motorcycles and traveling. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
